When booking a hotel or rental car, socially responsible travelers prefer to patronize small businesses. And there’s one way to find them. The OneRez Network is the only database of small and disadvantaged businesses (SDBs) in the travel industry. We operate as a third-party verifier, maintaining an up-to-date listing of qualified SDB hotel properties and car rental locations across the United States.
Through our partnership with Travelport, a leader in global travel technologies, we make it simple for corporations and government agencies to find and use these preferred suppliers. That allows travel managers and agents to seamlessly incorporate SDB procurement mandates and corporate social responsibility (CSR) guidelines into business travel.
How we do it
By joining the OneRez Network, SDB hotel and car rental owners are able to use their ownership status and business size as a marketing advantage. OneRez provides direct marketing to business and government travelers who are looking to patronize small and independent businesses that meet federal SBA criteria. Data from the OneRez Network is used as a sorting attribute in the travel booking process, allowing agents and travelers to select SDB procurement as one of their search criteria.
Who’s in the Network?
Small Businesses
To list as a small business in the OneRez SDB Network, your hotel or car rental location(s) must self-certify that, over the past three years on average, your gross annual sales have been less than $30 million for hotels and less than $25.5 million for car rentals. This includes all locations.
Disadvantaged Business
To list as a disadvantaged business in the OneRez SDB Network, your hotel or car rental location(s) must be owned and operated by a minority, woman or veteran in accordance with federal definitions.
Minority-Owned Business A business in which one or more minority group members have at least a 51% ownership interest and actively manage and control the business
Woman-Owned Business A business in which one or more women have at least a 51% ownership interest and actively manage and control the business
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business A business in which a service-disabled veteran of the U.S. military has at least a 51% ownership interest and actively manages and controls the business
Independent franchisees of major chains qualify for OneRez membership if they meet applicable SDB criteria.
